ARTIST STATEMENT: My project is an exploration of a nagging intent on hand movement. Subconsciously, my hands are always active. It has become so much of an obsession, that I have learned certain ‘skills’ just to make sure my hands have plenty to do. To parallel this, my project will be an installation of a multi-faceted illustration; featuring 16 different compositions depicting my involuntary hand movements.

REACTION STATEMENT: Before this semester I had never been in any sort of public show, nor had I ever really considered it. I never figured I'd be that kind of artist, being a graphic designer. It was, however, very interesting to peek behind the curtains and see exactly what goes into the creation of a show like that; and the answer is a lot of people with different responsibilities trying to coordinate all at once. Every single member of the group depended on each other to make their project work. If the photo group didn't get their job done, then the website group can't do theirs. It is a testament to the presenting team that a show like this even comes together let alone is successful; so it was very enjoyable to be a part of that.
